Pasco Action Group

The Pasco Action Group brings the League’s mission and voice to Pasco County communities in a manner that specifically suits Pasco County. Growing membership and ensuring its membership is diverse in gender, age, ethnicity and culture are Pasco Action Group priorities.

The League of Women Voters of Hillsborough and Pasco Counties provides Board oversight and carries out administrative responsibilities for the Pasco Action Group, and our Co-Chairs serve on the Board of the HCLWV. While the HCLWV handles membership administration and Board level decisions, Pasco Action Group members carry out local League activities, such as voter registration and education at community events, hot topic panel discussions and education about voting and about League policy issues through the Speakers Bureau.

The Pasco Action Group partners with other local Leagues and nonpartisan organizations to carry our candidate forums and meet and greet candidate events. The Group also plans “Tour Authentic Pasco” events, which are civic tours to help us gain an understanding of Pasco government and non-government service organizations.

The current Leadership Team for the Pasco Action Group includes: Chair and Membership Lead, Christine Bright; Treasurer Sally Wilson; Voter Services Lead Chris Conn; Communications Lead Cindy Wilson. All positions are two-year terms.

If you are a member of the Pasco Action Group interested in planning and setting up events, coordinating with the Leagues’ committees and action groups or training to become speakers about the League and the League’s policy issues, please email us at Pasco@HCLWV.org,

We invite residents in the northern portions of Hillsborough County and League members in surrounding counties to join us for meetings and events. While some activities will relate primarily to Pasco County topics, such as candidate forums, others will be an outreach of overall League programs.

Please consider joining us – we would love to see more members involved in our activities!

Pasco Action Group membership meetings are held periodically and are open to the general League membership, regardless of their geographic location.

As members of the League of Women Voters we are empowered knowing that we stand on the shoulders of women and men who for over 100 years have worked as volunteers to secure and protect access to the Vote.
In all of our activities we promote civil discussion of the public issues that affect our democracy.
