Please begin by logging in using the “Member Log In” button at the top of the page. This will pull up your membership information so you can easily renew. If you do not remember your password, hit the “Request Password” link and you’ll be sent a new password, which you can always update once you are logged in.
If you prefer to renew by check, click HERE to find a form you can download, print, fill in and mail to the League, with your payment. Mail it to P.O. Box 18933, Tampa FL 33679.
Why Become a Member?
Being a member of the League allows you to participate in one of the most respected grass roots organizations in the nation. Your League keeps you informed on important legislation, candidates, and ballot initiatives at the state and national level, as well as on topics of interest here in Hillsborough and Pasco Counties. Our mission: “Empowering voters. Defending democracy.”
Who Can Join:
Membership in the League of Women Voters is open to all persons who are at least 16 years old. Anyone joining the local league automatically becomes a member of the state (LWVFL.org) and national (LWV.org) League levels as well.
Member Dues:
Our League is supported almost entirely by member dues. These dues are assessed annually. Paying for a single year provides membership for 365 days, and you will be reminded to renew your membership in advance of your expiration date. Membership dues are not tax deductible.
PLEASE NOTE that Student Membership is FREE. We also offer some financial assistance with dues to make membership more affordable. If you would like to join but can’t afford it, please email us at membership@hclwv.org and let us know. All assistance is provided anonymously.
Although dues are the primary source of income for the League, we try to keep them as low as possible, while still allowing us to continue in our important work. A large portion of our annual dues is sent on to the League of Women Voters of Florida, and the League of Women Voters of the United States. These “per-member payments” (PMP) are set at the state and national level.

For members who join at the Sponsor level, the dollar difference contributed between the standard membership cost and the sponsor membership cost stays with our local League.
